01 Student Space Rental - FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. Can I use the rooms for other purposes?
- Sound studios are available for recording only, and editing rooms for editing only.
- SBS Studio can only be rented after visiting the B1 equipment rental room of Media Center for the purpose of filming. After informing the date and purpose of use, approval can be obtained.

2. Can I check the available time for rental?
- You can check the available date and time of space rental on KakaoTalk "Korea University Media Center" channel.

3. Can I use the rooms on holidays or nights?
- Yes, if you applied for space rental in advance.
- Access cards are provided for each room.

4. Is it possible to rent during COVID-19?
- Rentals are available as long as the quarantine rules are followed.

02 Student Equipment Rental - FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. What is the operation time of the equipment rental room?
- From 9:00 to 5:30 during the semester and from 9 to 5 during the break.
- Lunch time is from 12:00 to 1:00, so rental may be restricted.

2. What is the rental period?
- Up to two days. However, on weekends and holidays, you can return them the next day.

3. How can I extend my rental?
- If you want to rent equipment for more than two days, you can visit the equipment rental room with the equipment on the scheduled date of return, and apply for an extension. You can apply for extension on a daily basis.

4. How many equipment can I take out?
- The principle is to rent one per person (camera). However, you can rent additional batteries, memory cards, and lighting equipments depending on the situation.

5. Can a different person (ex. friend, etc) go instead?
- During rental, you need to leave your ID card, and when a different person comes, the rental and return may be restricted.

6. What kind of equipment can I take out?
- If you add the KakaoTalk "Korea University Media Center" channel, you can check out the equipments.

7. How can I check the remaining equipment?
- It can be found on the [Home> Bulletin > FAQ] menu of this website, “equipment inventory status (amount of rental available) for student rental."

8. What should I do if the equipment is damaged or lost?
- You have to pay for the equipment repair or the replacement equipment.

9. Can I reserve the equipment rental in advance?
- You must rent the equipment by visiting. It is impossible to make a reservation for equipment rental.

10. Can I return the equipment partly?
- You must return the rental equipment altogether. If you need more equipments, you can take out the equipment again.

11. Are there any disadvantages of not meeting the return date?
- Failure to return by the scheduled date may result in disadvantages such as restrictions on lending.

12. Is it possible to rent equipments during COVID-19?
- Yes. We provide disinfectants for renting and returning equipment.
